Spaced repetition, without making flashcards
Every note you write comes back for review a day later, then further apart each time you remember it. When it’s due, answer three questions on it from memory.
Your notes are the deck
The reviews come from what you already wrote, so there’s nothing extra to make or keep up.
No cards to write
Every note you write gets its own review schedule, from the day you write it.
Intervals that grow
1 day, then 3, 7, 21, 60 and 120 for as long as you remember it. When it’s shaky, it comes back the next day.
Quizzes from your notes
When a note is due, Breef asks three questions on it. Each answer comes with the line of your note that holds it.
See what’s slipping
Your overview lists what’s due, and on your Knowledge map the notes waiting for review are circled until you come back to them.
Questions
What is spaced repetition?
A way of remembering by reviewing just before you’d forget. Each successful review lets the next one wait longer, so a few minutes now and then keep things in memory for good.
How is it different from a flashcard app?
Flashcard apps review cards you write separately. Breef reviews the notes you already took, and writes the quiz questions from them.
Is it free?
Reviews are free for everyone. Quizzes are free up to 10 new ones a month, and asking a note’s quiz again costs nothing until the note changes. Pro writes as many as you need.
What if I don’t remember a note?
Say it was shaky and it comes back the next day, then spaces out again as you remember it.
