Notes that make the whole course make sense
Write what you learn in each class, link it to what you already know, and come back to it before you forget. Breef turns a term of notes into one map you can revise from.
Study the way it sticks
Not another folder of notes you never open again: Breef keeps your notes connected and brings them back when it’s time to review.
Every course in one place
Give each course a project and each topic a subject colour. Link notes across them with [[double brackets]], so an idea from one class shows up where another needs it.
Lectures, written up for you
Press record in a note during a lecture. Breef transcribes it and writes it up into sections and key points, with the transcript underneath.
Reviews at the right time
Every note you write comes back a day later, then after a few days, then weeks. Answer three questions on it from memory and it moves further out. Give a course its exam date, and its notes come back more and more often until the day.
Gaps, found before the exam
Breef can suggest the topics a note builds on that you haven’t written about yet, and shows them as gaps on your Knowledge map.
Questions
Is Breef free for students?
Yes. Writing, linking, search, your Knowledge map and spaced reviews are free, with 2 hours of voice notes a month. Pro, at €6 a month or €48 a year, adds 30 hours of voice notes, more storage and many more AI quizzes and suggestions.
Can I write formulas?
Yes. Write LaTeX between $ signs, like $E = mc^2$, or on lines of its own between $$. Breef typesets it as you write.
Can I bring in the notes I already have?
Paste text or import a Markdown or text file into a note, and drop in images and PDFs. Breef formats Markdown as you type.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Breef runs in your browser, on a computer or a phone.
